BRIARWOOD SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY

SPRINGFIELD, OREGON

The center of the building houses a three-story atrium lobby and contains services such as a country store, post office, ice cream parlor, library, wellness center, and a therapy spa. Sustainable design goals were accomplished through extensive day lighting, improved indoor air quality, energy and water conservation, views of nature, gardens and water.

OSWEGO SPRINGS SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY

PORTLAND, OREGON

An important initial project objective was to create opportunities for lifestyle enhancement including an inter-generational campus with the adjacent community college and a studio arts activity space.

Exterior stepped-down roof lines at the end of each wing and projecting dormer roofs at several bay window units were provided for reducing the scale of the building and subsequently achieved neighborhood compatibility.

SPRING MEADOWS

SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY

GRANTS PASS, OREGON

This 112,000 square foot, 122-suite building is designed with many features to accommodate Senior Citizens.

For example, corridor travel lengths were kept to a minimum and at intersecting hallways resident lounges were created to provide rest and relaxation alcoves. These alcoves encourage social opportunities within small neighborhoods. Each residential suite was designed to be adaptable to meet the needs of residents.
